Our Programs

At Hamilton Soccer Club (HSC) we are always trying to expand our programs to increase the opportunities for our regional community to enjoy the sport of soccer. We offer a number of formats for different levels of age and ability. If there is program of football that we don’t currently offer in our range of packages please let us know and we will endeavour to fulfill that niche subject to demand and volunteer availability.

The following sections supplies information about our club programs.

Note: The availability of individual programs is subject to demand and volunteers to coach, manage and deliver the program.

Miniroos

Ages 5-11 years old

This program is aimed at those boys and girls that are new to soccer. It is a fun skills development and small sided game play session of 1-1.5 hours in length on Saturday morning from 9.30am to 11.00am. The sessions run during term 2 and 3 of the school year. We also run occasional gala/round robin days of games against other clubs, subject to availability.

Soccer mums

(>16 years old)

A fun, casual, social soccer program for women (over 16 years of age) that just want to enjoy playing some social soccer for health and fitness. The program runs 9.45am-10:45am Saturday morning during term 2 and/or 3. The program is aligned to our Miniroos programs so that mums can drop of their kids and then collect them after the session.

SWVFA Competition Juniors

Ages under 12s, under 14s and under 17s

This program is for Hamilton Raiders juniors playing in our under 12s, 14s and 17s teams playing in the SWVFA league competition. Training occurs on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Pedrina Park. SWVFA competition games are played each Sunday in a home and away format. The registration package also allows participation in our High School Wednesday night 7-a-side team competition that runs each week during term 2 and 3 for students that are in year 8 or above. At HSC we also recognise that not everyone wants to or can play competitive football each Sunday so if you are interested in only attending the training sessions in these age groups please contact the club.

HSC Wednesday

Night 7-a-Side Soccer

This evening competition runs on Wednesday nights from 6.15pm during terms 2 and 3. Players should ideally be part of team entry into the competition or be willing to be placed in a team. There are two divisions subject to team entries and demand. Division 1 is for adult teams over 18 years of age, whilst Division 2 is for high school based teams with players from year 8 and above. Players interested in this competition have the option of registering in our full registration packages eligible to play in the SWVFA or register for a Wednesday night only package.

HSC Seniors

The Hamilton Raiders Senior teams play in the SWVFA league. Subject to player availability we enter teams in Division 1 or 2 for the Senior competition. The competition is mixed and open to female players with dispensation. The registration package covers training, entry fees into the SWVFA league competition and games. There are no extra game charges except there is travel involved to home and away games. Fully registered Senior players are also eligible to play for any team in Division 1 or 2 of the Wednesday night 7-aside competition or Junior SWVFA competition subject to meeting the age requirements of the division/competition.

Women’s Competitive Football

Hamilton Soccer Club is striving to create a Women’s team to compete in the SWVFA league competition. Any women wanting to play more competitive soccer should contact the club. At present playing opportunities are limited to our mixed Junior and Senior teams in the SWVFA.

Volunteers and Coaching

All volunteers and coaches must register for the club. There are no fees or costs for volunteers and coaches and we are very grateful for your time and commitment. However, you are required to have a current working with children check (WWC) and you must agree to our Child Safety Policy and code of conduct. Details of a current WWC will be required during the registration procedure. Hamilton Soccer Club will also endeavour to support your training requirements and development as both a coach or volunteer.

SWVFA Competition

Age/Gender Options The SWVFA league competitions are mixed male and female competitions within all age groups. We encourage all players (male and female) to participate at their appropriate age level as we believe this leads to their best development as soccer players and provides the most enjoyment. However, the club and league acknowledge that there are specific needs for some individual players where we can assist participation. The SWVFA therefore provides for a limited number of dispensations in each team that are available for players that are new to soccer or female that wish to play down one age group in either the under 12, under 14 or under 17 teams. A formal dispensation application must be made to the SWVFA via the soccer club. For players wishing to play up or down an age group, parents must also provide approval. Please contact the coach/manager of the relevant team to discuss dispensation requests.

Mid-Season Player Registrations

If you have already registered via play football for a season with another club, a supplementary registration package can be developed with a reduced registration cost as FV and FA fees have already been charged with your first registration. Please contact the club for details. For the Junior and Miniroos players we will also able to offer a half-year term 3 only packages. However, these registration packages will typically only be available online from the end of June (term 2) to the end of July. Please contact the club for further information.

Social Soccer

The club endeavors to cater for all players wishing to participate in its organized soccer activities, however, you must be a registered member to be covered by insurance. If you just want to have a kick around and join in some training from time to time a reduced registration package may be able to be organized subject to requirements. Please contact the club to discuss your needs.
